We love a challenge here at Diamond Driveways. There’s nothing we like more than being asked ‘Can you help us transform our large driveway and patio to give our home real kerb appeal?’
The answer is, of course, yes! And below we will tell you all about how we created a brand new driveway in Hadley Wood with a truly inviting, matching patio.
The majestic and sweeping driveway has been created using Brett Regatta Trio as it has clean and classic look which perfectly complements the stunning house.
The blocks comes in variety of colours however the cool grey used was chosen to give a contemporary look to this enhance the warm tones of the building.
A good driveway also needs good drainage. As this was a large driveway, with quite a steep decline, two forms of drainage were included to minimise flooding or annoying puddles.
The first system we included is slot drainage which runs the whole width of the driveway. This sits around 2/3 of the way down the driveway to take the bulk of any rainwater. Any water remaining we will continue to the main drainage pipe fitted in front of the house.
The client was so happy with the quality of Diamond Driveways work on their driveway they asked us to take a look at their patio too.
As you can see from the picture it is a huge space so the choice of material was vitally important to show off the scale but also give it a warm and inviting feel edged with Brett Bullnose High Kerbs in Autumn Gold.
To really finish off the patio and give it some nice features we added Coping Stones and Pier Caps from London Stone. These really do add a wonderful finishing touch to walls and pillars.
